Social Learning Within a Classroom

Social learning is now becoming a popular topic in learning. More businesses train employees today than ever before. It is reported that 28% of companies trained employees in 2021. in 2020 there were only 19% of companies that trained workers. This training was mostly collaborations among employees. This shows a positive effect of affect of effect of social media.

In a business context, social learning is being defined another way. It is being defined in unofficial ways that involves persons learning from their co-workers. This is becoming acceptable by organizations using social technologies like wikis, blogs, videos. discussion boards, etc. businesses are now using social media to support social earning.

The effect of online learning social communities subsist to address all learning styles, personalities. educational needs, etc. These social learning communities are available to employees via mobile devices and iPads. These are designed to allow people to build relationships with others as experts who may or may not be professional educators. This brings a shift in the ways individuals learn in social learning. the social networks remove barriers of the brick-and-mortar higher institutions that teach social learning (Biro, 2012,November 25).

How might a social learning component train employees and change the culture within an organization?

Online social learning communities are revamping the bar between leaders, employees, brands, and culture within organizations. There is a move social learning to augment traditional classroom education into the world of work.

Organizations must be ready to be able to accept a least fie intense ways online learning communities are transforming and altering organizations ideas of leadership and the culture of an organization. Online learning communities are testing the value of how academics are presenting courses online. Employees are altering online communities to strengthen old skills and new ones. these communities are increasing their confidence that have been ignored by organizations. Online learners are franchised, and they will change the culture of an organization. Employees who are franchised by their own pursuits for advancement will upset the balance of power between employer and employee. Many employers are paternalistic or micromanagers and this brings about a structure of inequality or lopsidedness, and the workers are changing this atmosphere (Biro, 2012. November 25).

How might social learning affect the role of the trainer within an organization?

The Social Trainer

Learning via social learning has always been an unofficial component of the workplace. This is changing because of the availability of the Internet and a great multitude of networking/collaboration platforms. Social learning has taken a strong foothold in workplace learning. Because of social learning, the trainer becomes known as a moderator within social platforms by creating different ways for al forums that produces effective learning. Because a trainer has a deep comprehension of the topics being discussed, he introduces different subjects and keeps the forum on track. The trainer ensures that the learners are always having engaging activities for the learners to participate in. The trainer and the learner can relate to each ther via virtual classrooms, or video/audio/text chats. Because of the rapid changes i social media platforms, the trainer must constantly seek new training (The Evolving Role Of Training in Corporate Learning, 2014, March 14).

How can employee accountability and online reputation be addressed?

Employee accountability should be addressed by hiring the riht individuals and by plainly defining the goals they are expected to follow at work. this means instructing them to take relevant deliberate risks and to observe the outcomes. The employee accountability should be addressed by communicating effectively. this means consciously keeping the individuals on course. The workers should be encouraged to collaborate. If these items are addressed, the employees accountability and online presence will be a positive one.

They should show no social behavior that is likely to cause alarm, distress or harassment to anyone. Everyone should have high regards to the views and opinions of others. the company leader must consider the best platform to use, and the cost of launching one. The learners should be trained how to properly use the social platforms are used before it is placed in use within the company. The company should also consider what they are going to use the platform for.

Benefits and Improvements

How might interpersonal relationships and productivity improve within an organization because of an integrated approach to training and professional development?

Employee working relationships were determined to be important to the overall wellbeing and performance at work. Research studies has shown that the effects of positive workplace relations existed in employees that a study was done in staff nurses in Vietnam. The researchers used an integrated model to scrutinize the main drivers of nurses in a Vietnam hospital. The effects was centered on high quality relationships in the workplace on the behavior of the nurses. The nurses reported higher devotion to their jobs, lower level of job stress, and increased insight of social impact on the job. The findings also indicated that interactions between leaders and staff made an important contribution to the workplace relationships and the nurses’ performance. They all showed positive impacts in productivity of workers and interpersonal relationships between the workers and the leaders at the hospital. the employees reported higher levels of workplace relationships, better informed employees, and better perception of performance. The interpersonal relationships had a definite affect on the organizational culture when there were misinterpretations and uncertainties at work among the workers. If this was not handled correctly, it can cause less productivity in the workplace (Tran, n. d.).

What are some benefits of creating a social learning environment? What are some challenges?

Benefits and Challenges

A few important benefits of creating a social learning environments are as follows

There will be more communication that involves more collaborations among the employees. By implementing social technology into social learning environments, the employees have increased access to ask questions and to contribute to answering them. This is because they will not face repercussions from the supervisors, and those who are shy are more comfortable expressing themselves. those who are shy do not like to express themselves to others in face-to-face encounters.

It shortens outboarding time on the new employees who are just hired. the new employees can ask questions at anytime and get answers form the other workers, instead of waiting on scheduled training sessions.

It produces more skill sharing and better use of the workers’ talents.

The workers can learn in their own time because some employees have different learning styles, and thy do not learn at the same speed (Meij, n. d.).

Some challenges of creating a social learning environment are as follows:

Gathering support from senior executives can be a challenge. the executives may try to use formal training as a key for learning, and really try stop the development of informal training that involves social learning.

Another challenge is that motivating employees may be hindered. all employees do not openly speak out. They do not feel comfortable expressing their ideas. They might want extra attention that the culture of an organization demands, but are to timid to show it.

Another challenge to creating a social learning environment is that the learning cannot be measured. Social learning is intangible. The learning involves everyone. They learn so much form so many people by observations, experiences, and discussions. It is like trying to reach infinity.

There are security issues that need to be concerned when an organization launches a wide social learning project.

Another important challenge in social learning the ability of a company monitoring the information of workers, especially when social media are used by them within the company (7 Challenges to Social Learning, n. d.).

How will your strategy for a social learning environment as part of the overall training and development offering improve knowledge and relationships within an organization?

Social learning is innate to everyone and all humans learn by observing, cooperating, collaborating with one another. The purpose of collaborations and social co-operations with one another have led to productive outcomes and elevated impacts. This is the reason why social media platforms such as Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc. are found everywhere.

When applied to organizations, social learning can produce surprised outcomes for employees eLearning strategy. There is more to just using social media components such as blogs, wikis, posts, discussion boards, video chats, etc. in corporate training. For social learning to be relevant, it needs a designed approach to foster collaborations among learners. This can be done through online communities that serve as a program for them to share knowledge and ideas, besides motivating the learners to add more information to their existing knowledge depository (Pandey, 2017, June 27). This is the strategy that I would use to improve knowledge and relationships within an organization.

The Importance of Creating a Social Media Learning Environment Within an Organization

The importance of creating a social learning environment within an organization is very crucial because it serves a s a springboard to productively connect to workers of a company by communication.. This method of learning gives workers the springboard to be able to convey disputes and obstacles that come across. This kind of environment provides employees with chances to share their skills with each other. Everyone’s. career is in some way touched by social learning experiences. The social learning tools keep workers committed and franchised via most dynamic learning in the market (The Importance of a Social Learning Network, n. d.).

We try to reach a conclusion about the questions that were asked. This is a bible class in, and the students are young adults ranging in age 18-29 years. I have a group page especially for us and it is a very small class with about twelve students.
